10th Annual NYC Tartan Day Parade
- Registration Now Open!

From the web site:
We are particularly excited about the 2008 parade, as it marks our 10th anniversary of celebrating Scottish history, culture and the many great contributions Scots & Scottish Americans have made - and continue make - to the US & the world.

In light of our ten-year milestone, this year's parade promises to be the largest and best to date! (In 2007, there were more than 1800 proud participants in the parade.)

We happily invite the following friends to register today:

  • Pipe Bands
  • Individual Pipers
  • Individual drummers and Drum Majors
  • Scottish Clans and Societies
  • Scottish Terriers
  • West Highland Terriers

The parade starts at 2:00pm steping off from 45th Street and marching up 6th Avenue ending at 58th Street.

I just sighed up for the Tartan Day Parade. I can tell you from personal experience that we had a great time last year. I hope more of you will sign up. It is a lot of fun.

    •  Pongo loved meeting all his black and white cousins! and of course we his parents were in heaven seeing so many beautiful, adorable westies and scotties. we're sorry we didn't get to meet WOW members specifically as we got to the parade a bit late and had to leave right after but we definitely hope to see you at other wow meetups! Thanks for letting us know about it - we will definitely try to make this an annual treat for us and our friends!
    •  This was an absolutely enjoyable time for my family and for Audrey, our 7 year old westie. We loved seeing all the westies gather at Bryant Park prior to the parade. They caused quite a scene and put a lot of smiles on people's faces as they passed by wondering if there was a westie convention in town. The westies and other terriers were the absolute hit of the parade! We would definitely do this next year. And as promised, even the laziest westie (which Audrey can be sometimes) was able to finish the parade just fine. All the other westies out there looked adorable strutting their stuff down 6th ave.

We had a great time. It's always nice to see the Westies and Scotties together. We didn't wait very long to get moving either. They are indeed the hit of the parade.

We had a fantastic time! It was great opportunity to meet our fellow westie moms and dads in such a fun venue. We look forward to many similar events in the future!
    •  I've never seen soooo many Westies & Scotties at the same place! Ronny & Scooter were soooo excited and the crowd was so great! They just cheered the dogs on and gave them lots of love and attention! The boys ate it ALL up and then crashed on the car ride home after the post-parade party at Animal Haven! Too cute! We will definitely participate next year!
